CASA Approved Testing
Several of The Great Southern Flying School Instructors hold Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) Testing Approvals for varying licenses.
As experienced pilots recognised and approved by CASA, we are able to test as well as train for most General Aviation Licenses.

Aeronautical Radio Operator Certificate
The Aeronautical Radio Operator Certificate (AROC) is essentially the license to use the Radio Communications equipment in Aviation.
You will learn how to use the radio equipment, who to talk to, what and how to say it.
GSFS is happy to offer AROC training and assessment for the award of an AROC. As pilots we need to ensure English Language Proficiency (ELP) and safe and timely use of radio communications, to aid in the continued safety of our industry.
The course is half day in duration and is facilitated by our Senior Instructors. The AROC is a good course for Pilot Partners & regular passengers of smaller aircraft to attend, and is included in the Partner Landing Course training program.
This course can also be run for Non-Pilots and can be conducted at your location. Minimum participant numbers & travel cost may apply.
