We’re pleased to announce a recent addition to the fleet of aircraft available for students of Great Southern Flying School. We have recently acquired this beautiful Aquila A210, equipped with a full glass cockpit and amazing views with its glass dome. It’s very roomy & with the Great Ocean Road, Bells Beach & the Bellarine Peninsula as our backdrop there’s never been a better time to learn to fly!

His commitment to passing all commercial theory and working hard at flying to a high standard paid dividends for Luis today. Our school is really happy for Luis, he has certainly earned his PPL.

We’d like to congratulate our student Aaron, who yesterday achieved his Recreational Pilot Certificate (RPC). 2021 has been a challenging year for our GSFS students with numerous COVID-19 interruptions, Aaron stayed focused on his goals and his application to his learning journey was outstanding.

Aaron has continually demonstrated a sustained high level of flight throughout his training which resulted in a successful outcome of his flight check.

And of course, a big shout out to his instructor, Shane, who has coached Aaron along his journey to achieving his RPC.

In line with the Victorian Government COVID restri

In line with the Victorian Government COVID restrictions, Great Southern Flying School will be unable to provide flight training lessons during the 7 day circuit breaker lock down.

Whilst we can’t take you flying, a lock down is the perfect opportunity to hit the books and do some theory study. Our instructors are on call to answer any questions you might have as you work your way through theory text books. Just drop us a line, we’d love to hear from you.

To our students, families and friends look after each other, stay safe and we’ll see you back in the sky in a week!
